StrengthsFinder 2.0

Now that I'm able to talk about it, I want to share my findings.

First, background information (Context, if you will): My bible study was challenged to give $12 on trust to our fearless leader, Abbie. We were given a packet last week, couldn't open it until we got home, and we couldn't talk about our findings with each other until tonight.

In the packet was the book StrengthsFinder 2.0. In the book there is a code, that you plug in at the website, and take the assessment. The assessment calculates you top five strengths, or talents. It then gives you an action plan to build on your strengths.

I am:

Context - You look to the past, the present is unstable. You need to look to the past, look at the paths that brought you to your present. You enjoy studying historical event and people.

Input - You collect things, information (words, facts, books, and quotations). You read not to refine your theories, but to add to your informational archives. Who knows when it might be useful?

Learner - Drawn to the process of learning. Your longing for knowledge is unlikely to be satisfied until you are recognized by others as the ultimate expert in a field or the grand champion of trivia.

Intellection - You like to exercise your brain "muscles" and stretching them into multiple directions. It doesn't dictate what you think, just that you are thinking. You are your own best company.

Responsibility - You take psychological ownership for anything you commit to. You feel a deep sense of guilt when you feel that you have failed. You follow the rules, even if it means you cannot win.

Does this sound like me or what?!?! Abbie complied all of the strengths from our group. Of the nine girls, I was the most unique. I only had two strengths in common with others. Which I found interesting. That piece of information, I will Input and file away in my mind, Intellectually think about it, and Learn from it.
